Event Management

Publish events, notices and school-calendar entries, and see them together on the calendar.

Event Management is how the school publishes what is happening: sports days, parent meetings, holidays and notices. Everything you enter here appears on the school calendar, and notices and events also show in the Today panel at the top of the screen.

Where the sidebar entries come from

Under Event Management the sidebar shows one link for every event type that has Show in sidebar switched on (for example Event, Notice and School Calendar), followed by Event Types, Activities and Calendar. Add a new event type and it appears in the sidebar automatically.

Dates are Bikram Sambat

Every date on these pages is a Nepali (BS) date written YYYY-MM-DD, for example 2083-07-10. The calendar shows the English date in small text under each day.

Recommended setup order

  1. Event Types: review the ready-made types and add your own if you need one.
  2. Activities: check the labels you want on school-calendar entries.
  3. Events: add events and notices under each type.
  4. Calendar: check how it all looks together.
